• Garbage Collection Schedule

Regular Collection Schedule Information:

Residential
Customers should place 90-gallon containers within 2 feet of the curb or the edge of paved roadway with handle facing away from the curb and at least 4 feet from any obstructions such as vehicles, mailboxes, recycling bins, trees, etc. All garbage must be contained within your city-issued garbage container. Place your container at the curb no earlier than 7:00 PM on the night prior to collection day and no later than 6:30 AM that morning. Please bring the empty container in by dusk on the same day.

** Help us efficiently schedule the pickup of your bulk items and large yard waste piles by contacting the Solid Waste Division office at (352) 728-9878 between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays. **

*** Any leaves or debris that is bagged will be picked up on the first scheduled pick-up day of the week ***  

Recycling
Residential recycling includes: plastic bottles: white, brown, and green glass bottles and food jars; aluminum and steel cans and food containers; and cardboard* and newspapers only. Place these items in the recycling container provided by the City on your regular recycling collection day.

*Cardboard should be flattened and no larger than 2 x 3 feet.
