Tropical Storm Idalia update 

Sandbags available in Leesburg

 

          LEESBURG, FL – To assist citizens preparing for Tropical Storm Idalia, the Leesburg Public Works Department has sandbags available at the city’s Susan Street Athletic Complex. The site, located at 940 Susan Street in Leesburg, will be open from 8:00am- 5:00pm on Monday and Tuesday, August 28 and 29. Residents must bring their own shovels and bag their own sand. Sandbags are limited to 10 per household.

          Leesburg will post storm updates on the city’s website at www.leesburgflorida.gov and Facebook at www.facebook.com/CityofLeesburgFlorida/.  Storm information is also available on the Lake County government website at www.lakecountyfl.gov.
